“Empowering Thousands Through Skills, Lighting the Path of Hope!”
Driven by a profound mission to transform lives and restore human dignity, AGAR Ethiopia is thrilled to announce the graduation of 67 trainees (Class of 2018 E.C. / 2026 G.C.) from its Special Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College, located in Dukem Sub-City, Bishoftu City.
This graduation is far more than a routine academic milestone—it marks a historic transition for individuals moving from hardship and despair to complete self-reliance, economic independence, and dignified success.
Who Are Our Graduates?
Among today’s 67 proud graduates are resilient individuals who have excelled in specialized vocational tracks:
- Fashion Design & Beautification: Trained to industry standards in high-demand, market-driven fields.
- Full Scholarship Recipients: Empowered through fully funded educational opportunities to unlock their full potential.
- Self-Sponsored Trainees: Dedicated individuals who invested in their professional development through subsidized fees.
- Returned Migrants & Survivors: Courageous sisters, brothers, and youth who overcame significant trauma and adversity to chart an inspiring new course for their lives.
Our Impact and 7 Years of Excellence:
While AGAR Ethiopia continues its core humanitarian mandate of rescuing and supporting returned migrants and survivors of gender-based violence, our overarching goal is long-term sustainability. We ensure that every beneficiary exits our care equipped with market-relevant skills to lead self-sufficient lives and uplift their families.
Over the past 7 years, our college has successfully trained and empowered numerous youth, vulnerable citizens, returnees, survivors of trafficking and gender based violence (GBV)—enabling over 1,000 citizens to write their own success stories and build an enduring legacy of resilience across Ethiopia.
Leadership Message:
“To our graduates: Congratulations on transitioning into this bright new chapter of your lives! The skills you have mastered are the master key to your freedom, self-reliance, and prosperity. I wish you boundless success, impact, and excellence as you step confidently into the workforce.”Apostle, Ambassador Dr. Abera Adeba
